For four generations, the Fite family has conducted business in both the banking and real estate industries. Known as a strong force in the Sacramento area, the family has maintained a tradition of hard work, honest and well-planned business deals and exceptional civic-minded community concern. D. Bruce Fite and his family settled in the Sacramento area in 1968 and started the Fite Development Company in 1970. Well respected for his real estate knowledge, Bruce still maintains an emeritus position with Fite Development Company. His success in the real estate business brought with it community recognition and the opportunity to participate in other types of business ventures. He is a major stockholder and former member of the Board of Directors of American River Bank, one of Sacramento's most well respected financial institutions. Charles D. Fite ("Chet" ) joined his father Bruce at Fite Development Company full time in 1980. As President, Chet oversees the day-to-day operations and is involved in all areas of the company including development, management, marketing, and financing of both existing and on-line projects. Working closely with the construction division, Chet also oversees the design and layout of the company's newest projects. Chet carries on the family's tradition of commitment to quality and honesty in business.
